The science ideas that we have learned over the past week were what cheek cells look like under a microscope. We also learned what animal cells and plants cells have in common. We also learned what was in an animal cell and in a plant cell. While looking at these pictures we discussed what the functions were of these organelles. The last thing that we learned was what a potato with blue die, and what a potato with lugos looks like under a microscope. Then we discussed what changes when we look at something with blue die or lugos.
We learned these ideas by doing a lab of our cheek cells. We first took a sample from our cheek cells with a toothpick, then we put it in the blue die and we looked at it under a microscope. We also researched a plant cell and researched what the organells were. Then we researched an animal cell and we found out what the organelles were in the animal cell.
It is important to know these ideas so that we can know what these organelles do and what they are in. We also need to know them so we know what blu die does to a sample that we are looking at under a microscope. These ideas can help us in the future and what will help us in the future if we know these ideas.
